A'Kera Gates is a dedicated senior scholar in the Sports Medicine program at Andrew Jackson Senior High School for Advanced Technology. On track to graduate with honors, A'Kera plans to further her education at Jackson State University, pursuing a degree in Health Science.

With a passion for dance and excellence, A'Kera aspires to join the prestigious Prancing J-Settes of the Sonic Boom of the South marching band during her time at Jackson State. Her ultimate career goal is to become a certified Athletic Trainer and Physical Therapist, specializing in supporting professional athletes in achieving peak performance and recovery.

A'Kera is committed to combining her love for sports, health, and movement to make a lasting impact in the field of athletic rehabilitation.
