A proud Afro-Caribbean woman from Washington, D.C., Nhari Fitzgerald is the dynamic force behind Miss Black Florida USA. Crowned Miss Black Florida USA 2018, Nhari knows firsthand how transformative the pageant experience can be—and she’s made it her mission to ensure other women of color experience the same empowerment.
With a background that blends beauty, brains, and purpose, Nhari holds a Bachelor's in Psychology, a Master’s in Clinical Psychology and Applied Research, and is a licensed therapist and certified Life and Success Coach. She’s currently pursuing her PhD in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, further deepening her commitment to helping others thrive both personally and professionally.
Nhari brings years of experience in mental health, coaching, and leadership development to the Miss Black Florida USA organization. Under her direction, the program has expanded its focus beyond the crown—emphasizing scholarship, sisterhood, and self-worth.
As a mother, wife, scholar, and former titleholder, Nhari leads with empathy, grace, and ambition. She embodies resilience and dedication, committed to driving positive change—one stiletto step at a time. Through every initiative, she aims to equip each delegate with the tools, confidence, and voice to lead powerfully—on the stage and in life.
